Overview
This new, state-of-the-art,
24-module GMAWB curriculum (available on 3 DVD's) is
based on the AWS SENSE entry-level welder requirements as
specified in QC10 and EG2.0. Modular design gives you the
flexibility to customize implementation to the needs of your
unique setting.
Each skill module includes a
demonstration of the weld that students are expected to perform,
featuring dramatic, close-up shots of the arc and puddle. Theory
modules contain all the essential information associated with the
gas metal arc welding process, and feature attractive animated
graphics to illustrate key concepts. Male and female narrators
alternate throughout, to maintain student interest and highlight
key points.
NOTE: DVDs feature a language option for English and
Spanish.
Instructor Guide
The Instructor Guide includes
everything you need to implement the GMAWB curriculum, including a
list of base and filler metals required for each student, to help
you plan your budget. It
provides all the information necessary to complete your lesson
plans in an easy-to-follow 5-column format with performance
objectives, suggested practice times, required materials and
machine settings, evaluation methodologies, and a complete script
of what to do and say, featuring suggestions for implementing each
topic and reinforcing key points.
Student Workbook
The student workbook (EW369 GMAWB)
is divided into the same topics as the DVD. The workbook provides an easy-to-follow “recipe” format
for recreating welds demonstrated on DVD.
The pictures in the workbook are taken directly from the
DVD to facilitate skill transfer.
The workbook also provides a summary of essential theory
covered in the course.
Tests & Answer Keys
There are 2 written tests included
with the GMAWB curriculum. Answer
keys are provided in the Instructor Guide, along with a suggested
schedule for implementing test.
